• Floating: Med/Surg, Acute Rehab, or Clinical Decision Unit/Observation
• Weekend Coverage: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period
• Orientation: Provided

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Surgical ICU experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Meditech preferred
• Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients in a critical care environment
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and adaptability for floating assignments

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill ICU patients
• Monitor and manage patients with complex conditions including respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, shock, CHF, AMI, and arrhythmias
• Perform and assist with advanced critical care interventions such as rapid response, code blue, intubation, central line care, arterial line monitoring, cardioversion, and ventilator management
• Support post-procedure and high-acuity care including thoracentesis, paracentesis, pericardiocentesis, thrombolytics, and cardiac monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, effective, patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation in Meditech Expanse
• Adapt to floating assignments while maintaining strong standards of care across units
