Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience, preferably in Med/Surg or acute care nursing
• BLS certification required prior to the first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
• Ability to provide safe, accurate, and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments within the first 8 hours of admission
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Provide timely, accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
• Support patient rehabilitation efforts and promote positive outcomes through education, coaching, and encouragement
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching early in the admission process to support continuity of care
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the appropriate care providers and physicians
• Supervise and direct ancillary nursing personnel as appropriate
• Promote a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff by following all safety policies and procedures
• Contribute to a calm, efficient, and team-oriented Med/Surg unit culture
• Maintain professional growth through continuing education and ongoing clinical skill development
