Job Requirements
- Active New Hampshire RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- At least 1 year of nursing experience required; PACU or critical care experience preferred
- 3 years of critical care nursing experience preferred
- Basic dysrhythmia knowledge preferred or obtained by the end of orientation
- NIHSS certification preferred or obtained by the end of orientation
- CPI training preferred or obtained by the end of orientation
- Graduate of an approved nursing program preferred
- Ability to safely administer procedural sedation and successfully complete annual sedation testing
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to post-anesthesia patients in accordance with unit policies and clinical standards
- Monitor patients closely during recovery and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Complete accurate documentation, care plans, and timely handoffs to support safe continuity of care
- Support procedural sedation practices and accurately document sedation per policy
- Assist with specialized procedures including Flow wire, Opsens, and IVUS insertion support as needed
- Apply strong clinical judgment when administering IV adenosine, including recognition of contraindications and reversal considerations
- Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and compliance with unit competencies and protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent patient-centered care
- Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication, accountability, and professionalism
