• Shift Duration: 10-hour days
• Schedule: Variable shifts may include days, evenings, 8s, 10s, or 12s
• Call: Required, including weekday, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed
• Float: May be required to float within the organization as needed
• Weekend Coverage: 3 weekend shifts per 13 weeks as needed
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,280 - $2,400
• Setting: Level I Trauma Operating Room
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Case Volume: Approximately 45-50 surgical procedures per day

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Ability to scrub in the OR
• Recent experience in a Level I trauma center
• Strong experience with DaVinci Xi robotic surgery
• Strong experience with liver transplant cases
• Must have experience in at least one of the following service lines: Neuro or Ortho
• BLS and NIHSS certification required
• Must be proficient with Epic electronic health record (EHR)
• Valid compact or Ohio state RN license in hand at time of submission
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing support across a wide range of surgical specialties
• Scrub and assist with complex cases including general surgery, trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, spine, ENT, plastics, burns, urology, GYN, transplant, and robotic procedures
• Support safe, efficient operating room flow while maintaining sterile technique and strong attention to detail
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to deliver excellent patient care
• Participate in call coverage and weekend/holiday scheduling based on unit needs
• Adapt to variable scheduling and organizational float needs
• Maintain readiness for a high-acuity, high-volume surgical environment
