This travel nursing assignment is ideal for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse who thrives in critical care, enjoys challenging neuro and trauma cases, and wants to grow in a dynamic, collaborative Dallas healthcare setting. You’ll support a mixed-acuity adult ICU with a wide range of neurological, trauma, and post-surgical patients.

• Position: Travel ICU Registered Nurse
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
• Setting: Neuro Critical Care / Mixed Acuity ICU
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Location: Dallas, TX 75203
• Additional Notes: Floating within ICU may be required; weekends, holidays, and occasional floating may be part of the assignment

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU, critical care, or neuro ICU experience
• Previous travel nurse experience required
• Trauma-level care experience required
• Active RN license
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong critical care skills, including ventilator management and vasoactive drips
• Ability to work nights and adapt to a fast-paced intensive care unit
• Comfortable caring for complex neuro, trauma, and post-operative patients

Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside nursing care for critically ill neuro and trauma patients
• Monitor, assess, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Manage advanced ICU therapies and equipment such as CRRT, EVDs, arterial lines, and ventilators
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and support hemodynamic stability
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
• Support patients recovering from neurosurgical and trauma-related procedures
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Follow infection prevention, isolation, and safety protocols at all times
