Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• At least 1 year of nursing experience
• Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferred
• Comfort working with adult and geriatric psychiatric patients
• Strong communication, assessment, and de-escalation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a behavioral health and psychiatric unit
• Monitor and assess patients with diagnoses such as MDD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia
• Support treatment plans and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the EHR
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and behavioral health needs
• Promote dignity, respect, and supportive care for every patient
