• Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit with mixed-acuity adult patients
• Charting System: Epic
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Float: May be required to float within the organization as needed

Job Requirements

• Active compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required
• First-time travelers welcome
• BLS and ACLS required
• Experience with Epic required
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program required
• Strong telemetry skills and ability to interpret dysrhythmias
• Experience in stepdown, PCU, DOU, IMC, or telemetry nursing preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with cardiac and mixed-acuity medical diagnoses
• Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Support patients receiving cardiac drips, oxygen therapy, and other ordered interventions
• Perform and manage central line care, PICC care, peripheral IVs, and related nursing tasks
• Provide care for patients requiring respiratory support such as BiPAP, CPAP, or high-flow oxygen
• Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Assist with wound care and other skilled interventions as needed
• Float to other units within the organization when patient care needs require it
