- Setting: Busy emergency care environment serving a high daily patient volume
- Location: Boston, MA 02118
- Assignment Length: 18 weeks
- Start Date: September 7, 2026
- End Date: January 9, 2027
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.; 48-hour weekly schedule preferred, with 36-hour contracts considered
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,100–$2,210
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4–1:5 depending on acuity
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or II Emergency Department experience, or 2+ years of recent Level III/IV Emergency Department experience
- Active and unexpired BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
- Must pass a telemetry test on day one with a score of 85% or higher
- Flexibility to float to Psych ED and Pediatric ED as needed
- Prior EPIC experience, travel nursing experience, and critical care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a very busy Emergency Department
- Assess, monitor, and stabilize patients across a wide range of acuity levels
- Work collaboratively with the emergency care team to manage patient flow in a high-volume setting
- Support floating assignments to Psych ED and Pediatric ED, including care for patients age 15+ in pediatrics when appropriate
- Maintain strong clinical judgment while delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency nursing care
- Adapt quickly to changing patient needs and departmental priorities
