Job Requirements

• Active Compact RN license or Alabama RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Previous Cerner experience preferred
• No Nursys hits
• Ability to provide safe, efficient care in a 6:1 patient ratio environment
• Travel nurse candidates must meet assignment eligibility requirements

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients in a busy inpatient acute care setting
• Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
• Administer medications and coordinate treatments according to individualized care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record
• Maintain a professional, compassionate presence while supporting patients and families
• Adapt to unit workflow and provide reliable coverage during scheduled weekend rotations
