Job Overview

• Setting: Fast-paced cardiovascular surgery unit
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Shifts per Week: Approximately 3
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 09/21/2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800–$1,890
• On-Call: Average 4–5 days per month, including 1 weekend per month

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• At least 1 year of CVOR, operating room, or perioperative nursing experience required
• Strong open heart surgery and vascular surgery experience required
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Experience with cardiovascular OR procedures strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing support in the cardiovascular operating room
• Assist with complex procedures such as CABG, valve replacement, carotid endarterectomy, ECMO, angiogram, fistulagram, fistula creation, and lower extremity bypass
• Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality perioperative patient care
• Collaborate with surgeons, surgical technologists, and the OR team to support efficient case flow
• Maintain a strong focus on patient safety, accuracy, and timely communication
• Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled
• Float to the Main OR when needed
