• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required within the specialty and to lower-acuity areas as needed
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU RN or IMC experience
• Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
• Current NIHSS certification
• Current CPI certification
• Experience charting in Epic required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Strong experience managing higher-acuity patients, including ventilated patients and telemetry monitoring

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical and surgical needs
• Monitor and assess patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, sepsis, stroke, and multi-system organ failure
• Support patients requiring cardiac monitoring, drip management, and advanced respiratory care
• Assist with ICU and stepdown-level interventions, including chest tubes, bronchoscopy support, cardioversion, and rapid response care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate high-quality, patient-centered care
• Float within scope to ICU or lower-acuity overflow areas as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
