- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required within the specialty and to lower-acuity areas as needed
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU RN or IMC experience
- Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license at time of submission
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
- Current NIHSS certification
- Current CPI certification
- Experience charting in Epic required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Community hospital experience required
- Strong experience managing higher-acuity patients, including ventilated patients and telemetry monitoring
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical and surgical needs
- Monitor and assess patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, sepsis, stroke, and multi-system organ failure
- Support patients requiring cardiac monitoring, drip management, and advanced respiratory care
- Assist with ICU and stepdown-level interventions, including chest tubes, bronchoscopy support, cardioversion, and rapid response care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate high-quality, patient-centered care
- Float within scope to ICU or lower-acuity overflow areas as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
- Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
