• Shift: 12-hour days
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Orientation: Occurs every other Monday
• Schedule Notes: 36- or 48-hour contracts may be available; holiday coverage may be required

Job Requirements

• Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license required prior to start
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Experience with charge nurse responsibilities preferred
• Cerner experience preferred
• Ability to explain any gaps in work history over 90 days
• Submission packet must include work history, skills checklist, and license verification
• Must be willing to work at least one major holiday

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for intermediate care and cardiac stepdown patients
• Care for a mixed patient population including med-surg, telemetry, cardiac IMCU, neuro, and CVA patients
• Monitor patient status, interpret changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the care team to support high-quality outcomes and unit flow
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed, with training and pay differential provided
• Support a team-oriented environment and contribute positively to unit culture
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical protocols and patient safety standards
