• Position: PACU Registered Nurse (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit RN)
• Type: Travel nursing assignment
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Schedule: Varied shifts with occasional weekends
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000-$2,100
• Location: Corvallis, Oregon

Job Requirements

• Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license required
• 1+ year of PACU nursing, post-anesthesia care, or critical care nursing experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to respond quickly to changing patient needs
• Experience in a fast-paced acute care or surgical recovery environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to patients recovering from anesthesia in the PACU
• Monitor vital signs, airway status, pain levels, and overall recovery progression
• Identify and respond quickly to post-anesthesia complications or changes in condition
• Administer medications and fluids according to patient needs and clinical protocols
• Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams to support continuity of care
• Educate patients and families on recovery expectations and discharge instructions as appropriate
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold quality patient care standards
