Job Requirements

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care, telemetry, step-down, or Progressive Care Unit experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification
  • Experience caring for stroke patients, cardiac drips, continuous BiPAP, and post-procedure patients preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Compassionate, flexible, and dependable bedside nursing approach

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to progressive care and step-down patients
  • Monitor and assess patients requiring telemetry and advanced respiratory support
  • Manage cardiac drips, stroke protocols, seizure precautions, and post-procedure recovery needs
  • Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR
  • Work closely with physicians, charge nurses, and support staff to promote excellent patient outcomes
  • Support a positive, patient-centered unit culture built on teamwork and integrity
