Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent RN experience in the specialty
• At least 18 months of recent stepdown nursing experience
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU), telemetry, or stepdown experience preferred
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact state RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Manager, ANM, supervisor, or director reference from the specialty within the past 12 months
• Willingness to work at least every other holiday
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Ability to complete required compliance items prior to start

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate care to cardiac stepdown patients with complex clinical needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret clinical changes, and respond appropriately to patient status updates
• Provide ongoing assessments, medication administration, and patient education
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Float as needed within the same patient population to support operational needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols
• Contribute to a team-focused environment that values quality, safety, and efficiency
