• Start Date: September 7, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
• Unit Size: 16 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:2, with 1:1 assignments for certain device patients
• Schedule Expectations: 2 weekends per month, plus holiday coverage as needed
• Work Environment: High-acuity cardiac critical care with advanced monitoring and post-operative surgical care

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of critical care nursing experience required
• CVICU experience strongly preferred
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Strong experience with pulmonary artery catheters and hemodynamic monitoring
• Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT
• Comfort working with complex cardiac devices and post-op cardiac surgery patients
• Ability to float to other ICU areas as needed
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced setting

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients in the CVICU
• Monitor and manage patients with advanced cardiac devices and invasive hemodynamics
• Assist with central line insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, and intubations as needed
• Care for patients supported by ECMO, Centrimag, and HM3 LVAD systems
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized critical care interventions
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, intensivists, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit standards and protocols
• Support a positive, patient-focused culture in a high-performance cardiac care environment
