• Employment Type: Travel assignment
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Weekly Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week, typically 3 shifts per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,550 - $1,630
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Unit Highlights: Remote telemetry monitors, Alaris pumps, and supportive staffing resources

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of telemetry or acute care nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certification required
• Strong knowledge of telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient care
• Comfort with chest tube-related care and exposure to bedside procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital nursing environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Willingness to float to ortho and med-surg as needed
• Professional, patient-focused approach with a commitment to excellent service

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to telemetry patients with varying acuity levels
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately
• Assist with and support procedures such as chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to support safe, effective patient outcomes
• Deliver compassionate bedside care while promoting patient satisfaction and safety
• Follow unit-specific telemetry monitoring and stroke policies
• Adapt to staffing needs and provide support across approved floating assignments
