• Position: Registered Nurse Supervisor – Bed Placement / Transfer Center
• Location: Spokane, WA 99204
• Setting: Acute care transfer center within a Level II Trauma / Level II Pediatric Trauma environment
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Shift Duration: 10-hour nights
• Schedule: Night shift, 4x10s; every other weekend required
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Start Date: 09/21/2026
• Duration: 20 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,520 - $2,650
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Contact: No direct patient contact
• Schedule Notes: Flexible 10- or 12-hour shift lengths may be considered

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of house supervisor or transfer center experience required
• Epic experience required
• Experience with intake, bed control, transfers, and bed placement
• Strong crisis management, escalation, and facility diversion skills
• Comfortable supporting a high-acuity acute care environment
• Ability to work every other weekend and commit to 3 of the 5 major holidays
• Two professional references covering the last 1 year of experience

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and bed placement with accuracy and efficiency
• Support transfer center workflow and collaborate closely with house supervisor staff
• Manage intake and bed control activities to help optimize patient flow
• Use Epic to document and track transfer-related information
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to support timely placement decisions
• Assist with facility diversion and bed diversion processes when needed
• Maintain a calm, solution-focused approach during high-volume or urgent situations
• Ensure patients are directed to the appropriate level of care without direct bedside involvement
