• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Setting: Cardiothoracic Surgical ICU / Cardiovascular ICU

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU nursing experience as an RN
• Current experience recovering immediate post-op CABG and TAVR patients
• Current experience managing Swan-Ganz catheters
• Experience charting in Epic required
• EKG exam required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• ACLS preferred at hire and required within 6 months of hire
• BLS preferred at hire
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a high-acuity ICU environment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for critically ill cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical patients
• Monitor and manage hemodynamic status, including Swan-Ganz catheter data
• Care for intubated patients on ventilators and support advanced respiratory needs
• Titrate critical drips and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Assist with post-operative recovery for CABG, TAVR, Impella, VAD, IABP, and CRRT patients as needed
• Deliver safe, evidence-based care in a highly collaborative CVICU setting
• Document accurately in Epic and communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary care team
• Provide compassionate support to patients and families during complex and stressful moments
• Maintain patient safety, infection control standards, and professional nursing practice expectations
