- Position: CVICU Registered Nurse
- Type: Travel RN assignment

- Start Date: September 21, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
- Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Setting: Cardiothoracic Surgical ICU / Cardiovascular ICU
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU nursing experience as an RN
- Current experience recovering immediate post-op CABG and TAVR patients
- Current experience managing Swan-Ganz catheters
- Experience charting in Epic required
- EKG exam required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- ACLS preferred at hire and required within 6 months of hire
- BLS preferred at hire
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a high-acuity ICU environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for critically ill cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical patients
- Monitor and manage hemodynamic status, including Swan-Ganz catheter data
- Care for intubated patients on ventilators and support advanced respiratory needs
- Titrate critical drips and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Assist with post-operative recovery for CABG, TAVR, Impella, VAD, IABP, and CRRT patients as needed
- Deliver safe, evidence-based care in a highly collaborative CVICU setting
- Document accurately in Epic and communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary care team
- Provide compassionate support to patients and families during complex and stressful moments
- Maintain patient safety, infection control standards, and professional nursing practice expectations
