• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Schedule Notes: Flexibility is required; block scheduling is not available
• Holiday Requirement: Must work at least one major holiday

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing or a related acute care specialty
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred; this travel RN role includes charge responsibilities
• Must be comfortable working in a teaching environment with students and new hires
• Ability to provide all requested time-off details at the time of submission
• Flexibility to adapt to unit scheduling and census needs

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate care to Medical-Surgical patients in an acute care setting
• Serve as charge RN when assigned and support unit flow, patient placement, and care coordination
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and support staff
• Monitor patient conditions, administer treatments, and document care accurately
• Assist with unit education and help maintain a positive, supportive clinical culture
• Respond to changing patient needs while demonstrating strong clinical judgment
• Work 2-3 weekends per month based on unit needs
• Contribute to a collaborative environment focused on quality patient care and patient safety
