Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Ability to provide work history and explain employment gaps over 90 days
• Skills checklist and license verification required for submission
• Willingness to work at least one major holiday during the assignment
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate care to Med/Surg and telemetry patients
• Monitor and assess patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including respiratory, cardiac, metabolic, neurological, infectious, and vascular conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and the care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols
• Support a patient ratio of approximately 1:6
• Respond to changing patient conditions and prioritize care effectively during night shift hours
• Provide assistance in a teaching-focused clinical environment where students and new team members may be present
• Charge responsibilities may be assigned with appropriate support and training
