- Setting: Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
- Start Date: Flexible start window available
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Shift Schedule: 3 day shifts per week, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Weekend Coverage: Required
- Floating: Yes, within the hospital as needed
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000 - $2,100
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
- BSN preferred
- Experience in a Level IV NICU strongly preferred
- Current BLS and NRP certification required
- ACLS, PALS, and STABLE preferred
- Experience with Epic charting preferred; Epic experience required for submission
- Experience with ventilator management, bubble CPAP, tracheostomy care, and PA lines preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert neonatal nursing care to neonates and infants in a high-acuity NICU setting
- Monitor patient status closely and respond to changes in condition with urgency and precision
- Support family-centered care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to promote the best outcomes
- Manage specialized equipment and therapies, including ventilators, HFOV, bubble CPAP, and therapeutic hypothermia
- Assist with care for surgical patients and tracheostomy patients
- Document care accurately in Epic and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
- Contribute to a supportive teaching environment that values learning, collaboration, and excellence
