Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in hand prior to submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting required
• Strong skills in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Ability to work effectively in a 1:6 patient ratio acute care environment

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition throughout the shift
• Manage common Med/Surg diagnoses, including UTI, pneumonia, COPD/respiratory failure, sepsis, AKI, chest pain, cellulitis, and altered mental status
• Administer medications and coordinate care plans with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Support cardiac rhythm monitoring and implement appropriate nursing interventions as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate clearly with providers and colleagues
• Follow infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions to promote patient safety
• Provide compassionate bedside care in a dynamic acute care hospital setting
