Travel nurse opportunity in Richmond, Virginia for an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse, cardiac cath lab RN, or electrophysiology lab nurse seeking a high-acuity pediatric procedural assignment. This 13-week travel nursing job offers the chance to support a specialized pediatric cath and EP lab while building advanced cardiac nursing skills in a collaborative, low-volume environment.

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule (07:00 - 17:00)
- Shift Duration: 10 hours
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,570 - $2,710
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Call: Varies; initial schedule will begin with approximately 2 shifts per week, with potential to increase based on lab needs
- Unit: Pediatric Cath and EP Lab
Job Requirements
- Active Virginia or compact state RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of relevant registered nurse experience required; 2+ years of cath lab experience preferred
- Pediatric cath lab experience required; EP lab experience preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- BSN preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a specialized procedural setting
- Ability to float within scope if needed
- Two professional references required
Responsibilities
- Circulate in pediatric cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
- Monitor and scrub for procedures based on skill set and unit needs
- Support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures for congenital heart disease patients
- Document care accurately using Epic and support workflow with GE Mac Lab technology
- Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, efficient patient care
- Assist with procedural sedation monitoring, infection prevention, and patient safety practices
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to pediatric and complex cardiac patients
- Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented environment in a low-volume specialty lab
