Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: 3x12s, with every third weekend required
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: September 28, 2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130

Job Requirements

• Active Kansas RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
• Experience with high-risk labor and vaginal deliveries strongly preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Comfort with Centricity charting preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination required with no exemptions
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented unit

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care for Labor & Delivery patients throughout the birthing process
• Assist with sterile speculum exams, sterile vaginal exams, NSTs, and reflex checks
• Monitor fetal well-being using external and internal fetal monitoring as needed
• Support labor management for vaginal deliveries, high-risk deliveries, and C-sections
• Perform postpartum assessments and provide maternal and newborn care
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Respond to obstetric changes and support timely clinical decision-making
• Provide education and reassurance to patients and families during labor, delivery, and recovery
• Float to other related units when needed based on facility needs
