Job Requirements
- Current Maine RN license or compact RN license
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Current PALS certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
- At least 1 year of PACU, perioperative, recovery room, or acute care nursing experience required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a team-focused healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the PACU under the supervision of the Unit Director and Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse
- Monitor post-operative patients and support safe recovery following anesthesia
- Assess patient status, respond to changes quickly, and communicate findings to the surgical care team
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care in accordance with board of nursing standards and unit policies
- Collaborate with the perioperative, surgical, and recovery team to ensure smooth patient flow and positive outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety at all times
