Job Details
- Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 09/20/2026
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Location: Des Moines, IA 50314
- Schedule Notes: May include every other weekend and every other holiday coverage
Job Requirements
- Active RN license with Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced obstetric and maternal care setting
- Current certifications and onboarding compliance items may be required prior to start
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Support physicians and the interdisciplinary care team during deliveries and related procedures
- Educate and support patients and families during the birth experience
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols and safety standards
- Collaborate with the care team to promote positive outcomes for mothers and newborns
