Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • At least 1 year of recent CVICU or acute care nursing experience required
  • 1.5 years of experience preferred for strong candidates
  • Current ACLS and BLS certification required
  • CCRN certification preferred
  • Associate degree in Nursing or higher preferred
  • Strong critical thinking skills in a high-acuity critical care setting
  • Comfort caring for adult and geriatric cardiac patients

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality bedside nursing care for critically ill cardiovascular patients
  • Monitor and assess patients recovering from CABG, TAVR, STEMI, carotid, and other complex cardiac procedures
  • Manage advanced critical care equipment and support therapies as clinically indicated
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Maintain accurate documentation and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
  • Support safe, efficient care delivery in a fast-paced ICU environment
  • Float per scheduled rotation as needed to meet unit needs
  • Contribute to a patient-centered culture focused on safety, quality, and teamwork
