• Position: PCU / Stepdown Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Location: Hinesville, GA 31313
• Healthcare Setting: Acute care progressive care unit with float support to MedSurg
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Schedule: Days, with weekends and holidays as needed
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 - $1,840

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current ACLS, BLS (AHA or ARC), and PALS certifications required
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient monitoring skills
• Ability to adapt to floating between PCU/stepdown and MedSurg assignments as needed
• Comfortable working days, weekends, and holidays as assigned

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient care in a progressive care unit and stepdown setting
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status throughout the shift
• Administer medications and treatments according to care plans and clinical protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support optimal outcomes
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns as needed
• Float to MedSurg nursing assignments when required by unit needs
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Promote a positive patient experience through compassionate, professional nursing care
