• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) / Emergency Department RN
• Location: Wichita Falls, TX 76301
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 - $2,030
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts (11:00 AM - 11:00 PM)
• Scheduling: Block schedule with weekend coverage required
• Orientation: 48 hours
• Patient Ratio: 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Charting System: Epic experience preferred
• Start Date: September 21, 2026
• Setting: Emergency Department / CDU / Acute Care

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in hand before start
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department or ER nursing experience required; 3 years preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers are not accepted
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Ability to care for patients across neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups
• Must meet compliance requirements within the required timeframe after offer acceptance
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work in a high-acuity emergency department

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency nursing care to a high-volume patient population
• Perform triage, rapid assessment, and prioritization of patients with urgent and emergent conditions
• Support treatment of trauma, stroke, respiratory distress, cardiac events, behavioral health concerns, and other emergency presentations
• Administer medications, initiate IV access, manage blood products, and assist with advanced interventions as needed
• Monitor and manage patients requiring procedures such as sedation, intubation support, splinting, and chest tube care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate timely, effective patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold emergency department protocols in a fast-moving clinical setting
• Deliver patient-focused care while helping maintain a calm, organized, and responsive ER environment
