• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:45 - 19:15)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 - $1,910
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Schedule Notes: Must be available for occasional holidays and flexible to float to divisional, overflow, and ED hold areas

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand before the start date
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Nursys verification required with submission
• Epic experience strongly preferred
• Ability to provide care for adult and geriatric patients in a PCU or step-down setting
• Strong adaptability and willingness to float as needed
• Ability to meet compliance and documentation timelines prior to start

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate care to progressive care patients with neuro and other complex diagnoses
• Monitor telemetry and promptly respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer and manage medications, cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and insulin protocols as indicated
• Support respiratory care needs including BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management
• Perform and maintain central line, PICC, peripheral IV, and port care
• Assist with wound care, drains, feeding tubes, and tracheostomy care as needed
• Collaborate with physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
• Float to divisional, overflow, and ED hold assignments while maintaining excellent patient care standards
