• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / Telemetry
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Location: Abilene, Texas 79606
• Start Date: 09/21/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3 shifts per week; 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 - $1,910
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in PCU, telemetry, or a related acute care nursing setting
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment
• Ability to complete compliance items and pre-start requirements promptly
• Altera charting experience preferred, but not required
• Open to floating to another unit or campus as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to progressive care and telemetry patients
• Assess patients, monitor changes in condition, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions in accordance with care plans
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
• Educate and support patients and families with professionalism and compassion
• Maintain strong communication, prioritization, and critical thinking skills throughout each shift
