- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / Telemetry
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Location: Abilene, Texas 79606
- Start Date: 09/21/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 3 shifts per week; 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 - $1,910
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in PCU, telemetry, or a related acute care nursing setting
- Travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment
- Ability to complete compliance items and pre-start requirements promptly
- Altera charting experience preferred, but not required
- Open to floating to another unit or campus as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to progressive care and telemetry patients
- Assess patients, monitor changes in condition, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions in accordance with care plans
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support patient outcomes
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate and support patients and families with professionalism and compassion
- Maintain strong communication, prioritization, and critical thinking skills throughout each shift
