Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or eligibility to obtain one
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a high-acuity surgical environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing support throughout the perioperative process
  • Assist surgeons and the surgical team with safe, efficient patient care
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room for procedures, ensuring a clean and organized workspace
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after surgical interventions as assigned
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes
