Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience preferred
• Valid multi-state or Oklahoma Registered Nurse license
• Completion of an approved nursing program leading to a diploma or degree
• Strong working knowledge of disease state management, the bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage work efficiently in a patient-centered environment
• High attention to detail when reviewing clinical and numerical data
• Acute care experience and willingness to float to other departments are highly valued
• Emergency Room (ER) experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process
• Create individualized care plans based on patient needs and unit guidelines
• Provide culturally sensitive and age-appropriate nursing care
• Prioritize tasks and perform nursing interventions appropriate to the patient population
• Anticipate patient and unit needs in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and care plans accurately and on time
• Support patient education, discharge planning, and appropriate referrals
• Collaborate with other disciplines to promote positive patient outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement, education, and unit-based initiatives
• Complete variance reports and attend required in-services as needed
• Adapt to changing patient needs while maintaining professionalism and sound judgment
