Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a Level IV Emergency Department with a balanced float assignment to Med/Surg. • Location: Greenfield, Iowa
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 3x12s, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, every 3rd weekend
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,090 - $2,200
• Charting System: Cerner
• Care Environment: Level IV ER with Med/Surg float, 50/50 split
• Patient Volume: Average of 8-12 patients per day
• Bed Count: 17 beds

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Experience in a fast-paced acute care or emergency department setting preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Strong adaptability and comfort with floating between ER and Med/Surg
• Ability to work nights and every 3rd weekend
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care to emergency and Med/Surg patients
• Assess, monitor, and respond to changing patient conditions in a Level IV Emergency Department
• Collaborate closely with the care team to deliver timely interventions and support patient flow
• Float between Emergency Room and Med/Surg assignments as needed on a 50/50 basis
• Utilize Cerner documentation accurately and consistently
• Maintain professionalism, flexibility, and a team-focused approach during each shift
• Support patients and families with clear communication and high-quality bedside care
