• Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Setting: Adult cardiac ICU and medical intensive care with step-down overflow
• Charting Experience: Epic preferred
• Patient Ratio: 2:1

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU, CCU, or CVICU nursing experience required
• Strong cardiac ICU experience preferred, including advanced cardiac devices and complex diagnoses
• Experience caring for patients with LVAD, Impella, IABP, TVP, vents, CRRT, invasive lines, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias required
• Experience with post-cardiac surgery, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, and sheath removal required
• Epic EMR experience preferred; 1 year minimum experience with Epic required
• Must be comfortable floating to other qualified ICU or Cardiac Telemetry areas as needed
• Ability to work in a fast-paced adult critical care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to adult cardiac and medical ICU patients
• Monitor and manage patients with advanced cardiac support devices and invasive lines
• Perform ongoing hemodynamic monitoring and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips according to patient needs and protocols
• Care for ventilated patients and support CRRT and other critical care interventions
• Interpret rhythms, recognize instability, and intervene appropriately in urgent situations
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, IV teams, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Support safe transitions for post-cardiac surgery and pre/post cardiac cath patients
• Maintain accurate documentation in the charting system and follow unit standards of care
