Job Details
- Location: Albany, NY 12208
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse / Travel OR RN
- Unit: Operating Room
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,450 - $2,580
- Start Date: 9/28/2026
- Schedule Notes: Possible on-call requirement
Job Requirements
- Active RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience required
- Strong experience in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular surgery
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical setting
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to support call coverage as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures
- Assist the surgical team in preparing the operating room and maintaining a sterile environment
- Support a wide variety of complex surgical cases with confidence and attention to detail
- Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes throughout the perioperative process
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and fellow nursing staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold best practices for patient safety
