- Orientation: Bi-weekly
- Weekend Rotation: Rotating weekends
- Float: Occasional floating to similar units
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 5:1 to 6:1
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Michigan Registered Nurse license required prior to start
- Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg, Medical/Surgical, or similar acute care nursing experience
- ACLS certification required
- BSN preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills, clinical assessment skills, and decisive judgment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a high-acuity environment
- Experience with Cerner preferred
- Comfort caring for adult and geriatric patients in an inpatient hospital setting
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to Medical/Surgical patients
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate patient updates effectively
- Use telemetry and standard acute care equipment in daily nursing practice
- Support a patient-centered care environment with professionalism and attention to detail
