Job Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in hand
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Ability to successfully pass a dysrhythmia exam
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, patient-centered care to adult medical-surgical patients
- Perform ongoing assessments, monitor patient conditions, and respond to changes in status
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient recovery and discharge planning
- Document care accurately and maintain compliance with unit and facility standards
- Support patient education and family communication as part of the care process
- Maintain a professional, adaptable approach while working night shifts and weekend rotations
