Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in hand
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Ability to successfully pass a dysrhythmia exam
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Perform ongoing assessments, monitor patient conditions, and respond to changes in status
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient recovery and discharge planning
• Document care accurately and maintain compliance with unit and facility standards
• Support patient education and family communication as part of the care process
• Maintain a professional, adaptable approach while working night shifts and weekend rotations
