• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,920 - $2,020
• Start Date: 09/21/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 8 weekend shifts per contract
• Float: Occasional floating within or near the facility may be required
• Orientation: 24 hours of unit orientation, plus hospital orientation and unit shifts
• Charting System: Epic
• Setting: LDRP / Women’s Services

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Labor & Delivery
• Experience in Mother/Baby and Couplet Care required
• Experience with LDRP preferred and strongly valued
• Ability to circulate for C-sections and recover patients in PACU
• Current RN license eligible for practice in North Carolina or a compact state
• Required certifications include BLS, NRP, FHM, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Comfort working in Epic and following SBAR communication standards
• Strong fetal monitoring, triage, and obstetric assessment skills
• Flexible team player who is comfortable supporting a range of women’s services nursing needs

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns
• Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal condition
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and recovery care
• Support couplet care, mother/baby education, and newborn stabilization when needed
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and support IV therapy and blood product administration
• Assist with antepartum and triage evaluations, including sterile vaginal exams and NSTs
• Provide newborn care such as APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, cord care, and parent education
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established safety and infection-control practices
