- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,920 - $2,020
- Start Date: 09/21/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: 8 weekend shifts per contract
- Float: Occasional floating within or near the facility may be required
- Orientation: 24 hours of unit orientation, plus hospital orientation and unit shifts
- Charting System: Epic
- Setting: LDRP / Women’s Services
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Labor & Delivery
- Experience in Mother/Baby and Couplet Care required
- Experience with LDRP preferred and strongly valued
- Ability to circulate for C-sections and recover patients in PACU
- Current RN license eligible for practice in North Carolina or a compact state
- Required certifications include BLS, NRP, FHM, and AWHONN Intermediate
- Comfort working in Epic and following SBAR communication standards
- Strong fetal monitoring, triage, and obstetric assessment skills
- Flexible team player who is comfortable supporting a range of women’s services nursing needs
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns
- Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal condition
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and recovery care
- Support couplet care, mother/baby education, and newborn stabilization when needed
- Perform assessments, administer medications, and support IV therapy and blood product administration
- Assist with antepartum and triage evaluations, including sterile vaginal exams and NSTs
- Provide newborn care such as APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, cord care, and parent education
- Collaborate with physicians and the care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established safety and infection-control practices
