Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Current BLS certification
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask in a busy acute care environment
• Experience starting IVs, providing basic wound care, and managing surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach to nursing care
• Experience in travel nursing or trauma Med/Surg preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate bedside nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Support patient and family education while promoting involvement in the plan of care
• Perform routine nursing tasks including IV starts, wound care, and drain/tube management
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to maintain efficient patient flow and quality outcomes
• Complete thorough clinical documentation and bedside shift reporting in Meditech
• Float as needed according to unit rotation and staffing needs
