Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and rotate weekends as scheduled
• Experience caring for high-acuity patients in a critical care setting
• Comfort with floating to med/surg when needed based on staffing needs
• Preferred experience with ventilators, CRRT, EVDs, SLED, and EV 1000

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and attentive care to critically ill patients and their families
• Manage patients with varying acuity levels, including 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1 assignments depending on staffing and condition
• Perform and support advanced ICU procedures such as central line insertion, arterial line insertion, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions
• Monitor and care for patients requiring ventilatory support and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Document accurately in Meditech and maintain strong charting standards
• Adapt to unit needs, including floating to med/surg assignments when required
