• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights

• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend nights per 6-week schedule, plus holiday coverage as needed
• Setting: Acute care float pool with Med/Surg Tele, ER Holding, and potential PCU/Stepdown support
• Charting System: Cerner experience preferred
• Orientation: Bi-weekly auto-offer orientation available

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
• Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date
• BLS required
• NIHSS preferred or obtainable after offer
• ACLS preferred
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Must be comfortable working nights and floating based on unit needs and clinical skill set
• Travel RN experience required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Tele unit
• Monitor telemetry, assess rhythm changes, and respond appropriately to dysrhythmias and other cardiac events
• Support patients with COPD, diabetes, orthopedic conditions, general medical needs, and post-surgical care
• Float to MS/Tele, ER Holding, or PCU/Stepdown as needed based on skills and patient care needs
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other treatments in accordance with nursing standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote quality outcomes and efficient patient flow
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and use Cerner charting workflows effectively
• Follow infection prevention, isolation, and patient safety protocols at all times
• Participate in rapid response and code team support when necessary
