Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
• At least 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Resume must clearly document relevant acute care and Med/Surg experience
• Ability to provide required submission documents, including license verification and skills checklist
• Strong communication skills, adaptability, and professionalism in a fast-paced inpatient environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions throughout the shift
• Administer medications and treatments according to clinical standards and nursing best practices
• Support post-surgical care and manage common diagnoses such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and bariatric-related care
• Work with specialty equipment including IV pumps, feeding tubes, and NG tubes
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Adapt to floating requirements as needed within the facility
• Maintain accurate charting in Epic and uphold high standards of patient safety and professionalism
