Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel RN) – Seattle, WA 98122

• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
• Setting: High-risk, high-volume Labor & Delivery unit
• Location: Seattle, WA 98122 — a lively, centrally located neighborhood with great dining, cultural attractions, convenient transit, and easy access to everything that makes Seattle exciting.
• Schedule Notes: Weekend and holiday coverage may be required; floating to postpartum and antepartum may be needed.

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring
• Ability to circulate in the OR for cesarean deliveries
• Experience functioning as baby nurse during delivery and providing immediate newborn care
• Skilled in newborn assessments, vitamin K administration, and eye prophylaxis
• Comfort working with magnesium sulfate, insulin, and heparin therapies
• Two professional references covering the last 3 years
• Ability to float to postpartum, antepartum, and other appropriate areas as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring patients and newborns throughout delivery and recovery
• Assist with high-risk vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Circulate in the OR and support C-section procedures
• Perform immediate newborn assessments and newborn care after delivery
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond to changes in maternal-fetal status
• Support postpartum recovery, patient education, and breastfeeding assistance
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Deliver care in alignment with unit standards and best practices for a busy maternal-newborn service
