• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Stepdown
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 9/25/2026
• Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts; typically 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Location: Cleveland, OH 44195
• Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry-focused acute care environment

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in the Cardiac Stepdown or related specialty
• Minimum of 18 months of recent Stepdown experience; travel nursing experience is accepted
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications in hand
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts as needed
• Willingness to work at least every other holiday
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Strong clinical judgment, time management, communication, and teamwork skills
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to cardiac stepdown patients with a focus on safety, quality, and positive outcomes
• Monitor telemetry, interpret cardiac rhythms, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and carry out provider orders accurately and efficiently
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support recovery and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and discharge readiness
• Support a patient population that may include post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery cases
• Float to similar units as needed to care for the same patient population
• Maintain compliance with required competencies, documentation standards, and unit policies
