- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 - $1,820
- Patient Ratio: 5:1
- Orientation: 40 hours
- On-Call: One shift per 6-week schedule
- Weekend Coverage: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Unit Focus: Medical-surgical care without telemetry monitoring or cardiovascular drips
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submittal
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience or related medical-surgical experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Charting experience preferred; Allscripts or Altera experience is a plus
- Ability to complete pre-start compliance requirements within required timelines
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg patients
- Care for patients with post-op, orthopedic, diabetes, pneumonia, wound care, CBI, and urology-related needs
- Administer medications, perform assessments, and monitor patient condition throughout the shift
- Manage common Med/Surg interventions, including IV therapy, ports, central lines, feeding tubes, oxygen support, wound care, and telemetry-adjacent nursing workflows as needed by the unit
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response support
- Recognize changes in condition quickly and escalate concerns to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a positive, team-oriented patient experience
