Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department or ER nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience caring for pediatric patients preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR)
• Charge nurse experience highly preferred
• Ability to thrive in a busy, high-acuity emergency setting with floating as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care to newborns, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in the Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Administer medications and support treatment plans in a rapidly changing emergency care environment
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate timely patient care
• Use emergency department equipment and resources, including rapid infusors and temperature management systems
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC and follow all department protocols and safety standards
• Support patient flow through triage, acute care, fast track, trauma, CDU, and behavioral health areas as needed
