• Setting: 44-bed inpatient behavioral health / psychiatric facility
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 09/21/2026
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift Duration: 8-hour evenings
• Shift Pattern: Rotating days and nights, every other weekend, 3x12s
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000-$2,100

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient adolescent psych or behavioral health nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• De-escalation training or certification required; SAFE Training Course may be completed onsite if needed
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
• Comfortable floating to adolescent and geriatric behavioral health units
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in an inpatient behavioral health and psychiatric environment
• Support adolescent psych and geriatric behavioral health units as needed
• Use therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques to promote patient safety
• Monitor patient condition, document care accurately, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and ongoing treatment planning
• Maintain a safe, structured, and compassionate environment for patients and staff
• Participate in unit routines, patient observation, and crisis intervention when necessary
