Job Details
- Position: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Night shift, 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM
- Shift Pattern: 4 days per week
- Shift Duration: 8-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 40
- Setting: Operating Room / Surgical Services
- Location: Santa Fe, NM 87505
Job Requirements
- Current New Mexico RN license or active compact state RN license
- BLS certification from AHA required
- ACLS certification from AHA required
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- At least 1 year of RN experience preferred; Operating Room or surgical nursing experience strongly preferred
- Ability to provide safe, age-appropriate care in a clinical surgical environment
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Comfortable with occasional call responsibilities and floating as needed
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the surgical population
- Perform thorough assessments and establish care priorities based on patient needs
- Reassess patients and respond to changes in condition or clinical trends
- Develop and carry out individualized plans of care in alignment with nursing standards
- Document interventions, outcomes, and patient progress accurately and timely
- Support patient and family education throughout the care process
- Participate in discharge planning and ongoing plan-of-care evaluation
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and team members to promote safe, efficient care
- Assist with point-of-care testing procedures as needed
- Contribute to a respectful, team-oriented environment focused on quality and safety
